I got ya ..In your case you said there was an aborted pup ...I would suggest the chunks are some sort of placenta type matter ...Rather like a bed for the Embrio!!

That said I have seen one of my males get a female ...When he was done a plug of Close to Richards was hanging out...Later came out and the male ate it....
