Keeping Payara mahseer together ?

Hello I want to purchase a Thai blue mahseer to pair with my Payara True Armatus it’s about 7 inches, the place I would get the masheer from only has 4.5 inch mahseer would that be to risky at that size, if so would you recommend anything better? I couldn’t really find any info on keeping them together and if it’s even possible? Thanks for reading and any inputes!

Personally I dont think you would have a problem at that size as long as your armatus is feeding well. My armatus was fine with other fish a few smaller than him but he ate every night almost
From what I have heard they become more unpredictable with tank mates as they get older and bigger when they can decimate a tank mate for no reason

Sounds good I’ll give it a try I’ve been kinda scared because he smashes anything that goes in the tank but I’ll problably start doing daily feeding and see if that helps right now I feed every other day usually six large mosquito fish throughout the day
