Which species? Fahakas are killers. Amazon puffers and pea puffers are relatively peaceful. Mbus and dragons are iffy and depends on individuals. Goes on and on. All puffers have teeth that can do serious damage. And, most species will require teeth trimming if not fed a proper diet that will keep their teeth wearing naturally.

Cretac where abouts are you? I'm in st Clair shores, I used to have a Fahaka puffer If you feed the right foods it keeps his teeth down great guys reminds me of a dog

Ok. How would I keep their teeth worn down other than trimming? Just feeding them crustaceans? Obviously I didn't do enough research b4 buying my Green Spots.
I'm in Troy, one of my favorite LFS's is in St. Clair Shores (Stingray Bay). Stingray and Oceans & Seas are by far my favorite, I just wish there were more shops that were a little less of a drive.
Yea just feed snails, crayfish, shrimp shell on. I used to go to fish stores and buy 5 lbs worth of crayfish and feed him that loved my lil guy, I sold my Fahaka to ocean and seas last year just got my new dovii from them too

This was my choice in freshwater puffer, Tetraodon baileyi, the hairy puffer
His home is a 40B filtered with an AC110. Lurkers like this one are less prone to teeth issues but they are pretty sedentary in nature.
