Biologists don’t want to be judgemental, and avoid using terms like rape, murder, kidnap and genocide to describe animal behavior. Our closest cousin Chimpanzee have committed all of the above acts. Another very intelligent mammal, doulphin, have been documented to gang kidnap and rape a female for days before letting her go.

My use of rape to describe African cichlid behavior is no nonsense. Even though violent mating may result in spawning, the sex is consensual so by definition not rape, there is no better way to describe the violent act as rape.

Humans kill literally trillions of fish every year. Homo sapiens are exterminating life from the 70 percent of the earth that they don't even live on. To complain about fish "raping" each other is just an absurd waste of air to me.
