awesome. they'll fit in well with my piquiti babies...eating the same thing and same size. I can't wait to get mine.
Ya know, so many people are saying their kelberi are slow growers, but I have to say mine are not growing slow at all. I will shoot some updated pix later and you will be able to see how big they've gotten.Ripdevil;2761849; said:I think the blues will grow just a bit faster however

They've been pigging out on frozen bloodworms since the day they arrived. No need for live foods!

I had plenty of "blues" and they are equally fast growing as any of the "kelberi" that I have now.......perhaps what I got are not Kelberi![]()
I agree with you, Boost. I do think that all Cichla are fast growers up to a point, but I have to say that every species of Cichla that I have evr kept have grown fast...some very fast...especially wild temensis. Those grow like weeds. Yet again...only time will tellbOOsteN aUdI;2763134; said:kelberis are slow growing from my experience and i was going to say .. perhaps they are not kelberis but i am thinking that since they are extremely small they may grow fast to a certain size.. i have noticed that my smaller kelberi is slowly catching up to the larger guy from the first shipment.. so hmmm again only time will tell.

I also noticed that when my small cichla start on live vs. prepared, the ones that eat live tend to grow faster. Dunno what it is.
