Well males sometimes have their "man hood" hanging out trying to get a girls attention

and just because it never developed a hump, doesn't confirm it to be a female. My buddy has 3 male kelberi and they are all vented male and he has 1 that's prob the best looking wild kelberi I ever saw and he never delveloped a hump and he had him for around 4 years. It's a dominance thing, if they are not a dominate male and ready to spawn, they will not develope the hump.
Once again this is just all my opinion and info I heard from others that had female wilds, including myself and of course on some occasions there might be a super sexy female that has amazing color and tons a Spangling like the one in pic 3 hayn posted, and then the pic 2 female has no anal fin spangling. Kelberi are a very interesting species them and brokopondo, you never see 2 of a kind, it's fun to collect
