No pics of vent but confirmed females, at the very least my WC is confirmed female. Its abt 3 to 4yrs old and no hump before. Can see the laying tube clearly also. Bahia abt 1 yr plus. Can see laying tube too, no hump.

I dun have any pics that clearly shows the anal fins. Maybe I will do it when I am free. But honestly, u r the first I have ever heard to say this.

The first two pictures are of my two cearas. Picture one is the male and picture two is the female. Notice the spangles on the dorsal fins of the cearas, the only kelberis that I have seen that the spangle travels up to the first ray of the dorsal fin and doesn't stop mid way like my Minas Gerais does. Third picture is of my female Minas Gerais kelberi.

Well males sometimes have their "man hood" hanging out trying to get a girls attention ;) and just because it never developed a hump, doesn't confirm it to be a female. My buddy has 3 male kelberi and they are all vented male and he has 1 that's prob the best looking wild kelberi I ever saw and he never delveloped a hump and he had him for around 4 years. It's a dominance thing, if they are not a dominate male and ready to spawn, they will not develope the hump.

Once again this is just all my opinion and info I heard from others that had female wilds, including myself and of course on some occasions there might be a super sexy female that has amazing color and tons a Spangling like the one in pic 3 hayn posted, and then the pic 2 female has no anal fin spangling. Kelberi are a very interesting species them and brokopondo, you never see 2 of a kind, it's fun to collect :)

Problem is, there isn't any dominant male in my tank, I have a bunch of females who fight everyday, in any case the WC has been vented by many before plus it has paired up with a male which died before they could breed almost 2 yrs back. The bahia has only been vented by me and base on my judgement it's female. Only my grow outs haven't been vented before. It is interesting to see so little spangles on the anal fin of a kel. It's a first for me.

Yeah I've seen it on multiple occasions, sometimes even seen some of my buddy's with kelberi with so little Spangling that they almost look mono and the ones with less Spangling always turned out to be female. It's a very interesting case
