Just a small piece information I found today....

State of Minas Gerais is covered mainly by rio São Francisco

quote" Minas Gerais is the source of some of the biggest rivers in Brazil, most notably the São Francisco, the Paraná and to a lesser extent, the Rio Doce. "

State of Sao Paulo is mainly by rio Paraná.
quote" Rivers Most rivers of São Paulo are tributaries of the Paraná river, which separates São Paulo from Mato Grosso. "

You can see from this map rio Sao Francisco does not go beyond south of state Minas Gerais. Kelberi from Sao Paulo are MOST likely different than Minas Gerais's.

If this is true... we can call Rapps' 3rd batch pbass.... Cichla sp. kelberi

We will see about that I like the idea of what your saying but just doesn't hold water until there proven Sao' Francisco coloration. But again I do like where your going with this. :naughty:

both beautiful... :D sorry but IMO, not a CHANCE....:grinno:
but keep hopeing james, maybe do it the way R1 is doin it, by finding a good pic of SCATS cichla, print it on your computer and every night or when you get a chance, show it to all your kelberi's and tell them to grow up like the one in the pic....:ROFL:;)

Next time when you look at those japanese "confused" cichla sp you won't be that confused anymore.

Why do you think every Sao Francisco's kelberi will look like Scat's ???
Why jump into conclusion when a pbass from Sao Franciso will turn into Scat's gold bar.
Do you know how long rio Sao Francisco is ??? There are millions of pbass in there.
We are not even sure how many more sp of cichla we haven't discovered.

My bad James just having a laugh. Just had a picture of all those like myself who own these 2nd and 3rd batches telling our Kelberi to grow up to look like Scat's. No harm no foul bro. It may have been in bad taste to find humour in it. It's been a long day! I needed a good laugh sorry it was at your expense.
