Haha, luckily my gamble was only about $30 ea. Of the six I started out with, all from Rapps, two became datnoid food; two grew fast (11" now) and have spangling I can't complain with; one runt (7") with amazing potential and spangling; and one runt (8") ugly duckling with minimal spanglin...

I'm happy with what I got for what I paid. Unless a fish showed a lot of spangling already, you won't see me buying any kelberi for $200+.

Damn Hulon,

Your's are pushing 7" already? Wow! Mine is 5 inches tops. If that. And the one's that bassnectar is talking about are from the same batch that we all got. I just saw them today and they look pretty good. I don't know about $250 worth of good, but pretty flipping good. One has lots of gold in the caudal and dorsal already. Me, I'm a tightwad so I'm not sure I could justify 250 bucks for a small fish, or the GATF that's there would be in my tank. But if it's what you want bassnectar, then if you got the money I don't think they'll be ugly ducklings.
