I received my first order from Ken's Fish three days ago. I have four tanks of medium to large African Cichlids. I have been feeding them primarily 1mm & 3mm NLS pellets and occasionally Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold and Omega One Super Veggie pellets.
I wanted food that did not have fillers like corn, wheat, and soy that would just pass through the fish and end up as solid waste. I switched my dogs to 100% grain free food and I noticed a huge reduction in pooh output. I assume the same would occur in fish.
My impression so far:
No Carb Sinking Cichlid Color 1.2 - 1.5mm pellet - fish seemed to like it almost as much as the 1mm NLS
No Carb Sinking Community Large Color 4 - 5mm pellet - It has a weird gray-clay look; only a few fish are eating it.
Premium Soft & Moist w/ Krill 3mm pellet - All fish are eating it but they are not attacking it like they do the 3mm NLS. It also needs to be refrigerated after the bag is opened. That's inconvenient because I do not have a refrig in the basement.
So the jury is still out on this food. You can't beat the price and ingredients; I just wish my fish craved it like they do NLS.
