What's up with that glass vase in there? Look like farmies to me, careful with the pacu too, I had one shred a clown knifefish I had years ago and I think we all know about the capacity of a RTC to eat anything.

Yes, they are all in the same tank. I never had any problems with my last RBP shredding fins, but I will keep an open eye for them. I also know the glutoney of RTCs. I hav actually been drawing up plans for the stock tank they will be going into. Well, the RTC is going into, I am trying to track down a 120 (4x2x2) for the Pbass grow out as I hate the 18" width of my 125. I will keep them there until they are about 15" or so...hopefully by then they won't be RTC food. I am posting my pond build thread in the indoor pond section, so if you get a chance go check it out. As for now they are taking bloodworms, I will have to pick up some feeders when they get a new shipment in, as they don't relly eat to many of the bloodworms and just spit everything else out. However, my RTC being the garbage disposal they are is accepting everything under the sun!
Hey Guys, Had a Thanksgiving spawn, any hints on feeding?? Never had the small ones. A couple hundred Monos now just breaking 2". Startted with baby brine,then frozen adult (very messy)then Omega one Mysis (dry)Will not take froz blood worm,Tub,or tiny pellets.Boosten wasnt kidding..$$$$$$$ What are yours eatting now Disk Dude??
Very nice. They look to be Mono's for sure. Good luck with the feeding regimen and I would still offer them boold worms and talapia even while feeding live. Sound's like you got a lot of great advice and a heck of a future game plan. Welcome to the Cichness and I hope to see plenty of updates from you.
Update: tried some thawed whiting fillet tonight...the only one who took to it was the pacu and rtc. So I threw in a cube of blood worms for the Monos and the gobbled em up...now how good healthy looking bellies. As compared to what they have looked like the last couple days. I will have some updated pictures and a video up tomorrow. Stay tuned!
good deal. Add some pellets when you put the bloodworms in, too if you want to get them on that. A couple of my little ones have at least taken one pellet.
