Kewpie's Pewpie err Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow! Scary stuff but I'm happy to read that everyone seems to be pulling through.

Is the Endli OK today too?

Yeah, somehow. I was convinced I was going to lose both of them. The Endli ate last night and seems to be doing fine. I've only had him/her for a week or so

Have you posted about that in the poly forum? I've been on more intermittenly lately.

(If not, get on it! ;) )

Revisiting the loose CA biotope idea for my tank, I ended up getting a 120 4x2x2.

I had bichir in it, but apparently bichir hate my water.

I'm thinking hets, meeki, and xiphophorus helleri with a load of ferns and driftwood.

Polys are using the last to "hate " water. Somethings up

Update 1.5 Years Later:

My Polleni pair have passed away, the male was a good 10" Great fish to keep. Have no idea what happened, I wasn't home.

My hets have paired off and have spawned :)

Stanzzzz7 Stanzzzz7 hey there, long time hope things are well, have you ever had hets spawn? I've never had any fish spawn before, any tips? I'm not really interested in growing any of them on yet.

Congratulations on the spawn mate.

I would just let them get on with it, without intervention if you don't want to raise any.
They will probably eat their first spawn. Just watch out for aggression while they are breeding.
A lovely species that would definitely be worth breeding and keeping some youngsters.
Eventually some fry may survive, depending what else is in the tank.
Maybe you could grow on a small group and keep with the parents for a while.
