Kill it? or Let it be?

I made a mistake, I saved a Vieja from a 14"+ Arowana, and I put it in my tank with another BIG fish...

Few hours later, it got beaten up so badly that all his scales went missing

He's breathing, and struggling to live, but I am not sure if I should end his life, or just let him be?

What do you think?

I put him in a critter cage and it is sitting in the bottom of the tank

As for the culprit, a 12"+ monster is having a little time out in a 10G tank

I felt bad for both of them

and both of them are super rare fish >.<;;

well it happend to me long time ago i thought it was a good idea to end his suffer but later on i figured im not the one who gives so i can take
