he was so healthy just a few days ago in my tank but thats life huh.
its ok alex mistakes happen.. you couldnt have predicted what would happen if they were ok in my tank..
it happens.
lets pray he pulls through..

sometimes even at the brink of death a fosh can live, isolate it and try to get as much oxygen into the water as possible, if you want to save it that is, keep the fish moving

, if not well i dunno thats your choice, i had a oscar that was like that, he survived another 4 years.. before he kicked.
 
Let nature take its course. He might, just might, pull through. Cichlids are very intelligent...I have heard of Cichlids that had an incredible will to live pulling through some tough you-know-what. Who was the culprit?
 
My vote is to end it.

I've seen that kind of damage to my Texas once.. he was with FH.. he wasn't as badly hurt. scales were def gone in the lower back.. if caught early.. they can recover....

if my fish is going too die that day i should do my best for rest of other my fishes too redress from nature.
im so sad for your fish.i hope he rest in peace.
