not sure what the problem is but when i post in marketplace can never get rid of fish or tanks at what is a fair price to me
maybe it's the pics, maybe it's the market i don't know seems to be a preponderence of young folk someone had mentioned "trolling" OFGS
i don't have time or inclination to build up 1000's of posts...
i advertise, get these pms or answers gee wish i had the money...
Ok i had the money i spent it in an insane fish frenzy, and it costs me to keep them healthy.
i mean for god's sake i wanted to get rid of 2 blue (blue not silver arrows ) 2 foot long for 250 apiece that is a steal
then i see WTB ...
oh well time to move on i guess

Maybe its a location problem too? Were you willing to ship the fish? Or if they get bumped off the first page people may not view the second.

MFK Marketplace really has nothing to due with the overall site/info to me.

Getting rid of fish can be tricky. It's all about location and being a steal in price. You have to have both really IMO to get rid of fish successfully. 250.00 is a great deal for a 2ft blue arow but if the person looking isn't local within reasonable distance or wants a smaller fish like 12" then it doesn't work out to be a deal. Then you have those that want to buy everything, and those who "WTB" only if it's 1/4 of the price it normally goes for.

But I hear you getting rid of fish that should be worth $$ sometimes is difficult even if they were basically free. It's not MFK, it's the nature of the hobby and just the way it goes sometimes.

Sorry btw I never made it down to pick up that small argentea, something had come up and I figured you had other buyers that bought most of your stuff. Wasn't trying to blow you off but with no new bumps in the thread I figured most of that stuff you wanted to sell was sold and you were just keeping the rest.

I must have missed the part of the user agreement that said people will buy your stuff for the price you want to sell it for.

If people aren't buying anything you have for sale then you need to rethink your prices or your product.

The Mods need to do something about the People that hang around the B/S and never buy or sell anything. Just ask for pictures or shipping quotes, size, eating ect.

Just relax....Try different approaches if you want, but I say things will change for you. I have met 3 mfkers and traded tanks/eggs/fry/fish/cash.....and it was not always that way....Good luck.

As far as selling tanks...I have found the best place to sell those is on eBay. You are usually able to get a little more money for them on there, rather than on message boards.

Fish - You just have to find the going price. It's not always as easy to find a home or someone willing to drop a lot of money for a 2' fish. Some times it's best to just find a good home for fish that size.

Please remember that to be a buyer, seller, or vendor on this site, you pay nothing. It's free business. We would like to spend our time moderating the fish forums. There are a few mods who spend a lot of time dealing with market place problems. It's free, take it or leave it.
