It looks like at least 3 are starting to fade. some look 100% convict, and only a couple look a bit parrotish. I only get home about once a week so I'll try to get some more pics before xmas.
I think I may, in the end, get more than 3 faders but 3 are now showing signs of fading already.very interesting stuff, have a regular con and parrot paired up atm, nice to see what they might produce...only 3 are starting to fade, hmm.
I guess it's a mix of hybrid vigor and the midevel genes from the parrot. I still have two that are about a cm long too, IME runts often throw some pretty cool traits if one is patient enough to wait for them to grow.Oh wow, how did your Con hybrids already get that big. XD Mine's still at the 1.5-3.5cm ish length.![]()
So far, I think in order to get anything like that it may take several attempts with back breeding or line breeding.if you could keep the marbling and the blood parrot shape it might look like a piebald blood parrot

Well I just got home for the end of the world weekend,
and grabbed some new shots. more are looking like they might fade. The bigger guys will be moved to the bullpen (90 gallon grow out) to let the slower growers have a chance to thrive. pardon the algae in the tank, my sidekick isn't the best about turning off lights. I added my CAE to bring down the brown algae and clean up the left over foods.
