I have 2 koi about 4 inches in my 20 gallon, they were for our school pond, but i came to school today and our teacher drained it. How long could i keep them in there?

because the 10 cent goldfish i put in there the day after i set it up died...wtf i know.

Why not sell or give them away to those with ponds?

A few weeks at best, you should really be looking for someone with a pond to take them. What ever you do, don't turn them loose into a stream or pond that has a connection with the wild. Keeping them in that tank will stunt them, if you want them to grow to their natural size don't keep them in the small tank very long.

i could put them in the 55. When it gets nicer out could i put the in my uncles pond. It was man made, about 50 feet wide, 180 ft long, and 10 foot deep at the deepest spot. It has many bluegill/sunfish, bass, channel cats.

If that pond has an outflow then you can't put them in it. They should be ok in a 55 for quite a while if it is filtered well enough.

idk about the outflow. Would i ever see them in the big pond?

...with a GT, Texas, oscar and pleco? I would just try to re-home them, there are plenty of people out there with koi ponds that can give them a good home.
