What kind of chemicals do I use to jump start the pond and make it safe for fish?
Apart from a dechlorinator, nothing. Fishless cycles are a complete pain when it comes to ponds, you could add some thank water directly to your filter but the best things is a couple of small fish to kick start it the slowly add more fish as you filter catches up.

De-chlor/Novaqua/Stress Coat, a bottle or two of Prime won't hurt. You should be able to find BB in liquid or dry form at the pond store which is also an option. I would ring out and media from tanks inside the house if the water temps. are close. After a week of the pond running, you could start to add couple of goldfish. I added mine about three days after my pond was done and ran it for a few days for any tweaks needed. Alll the fish were fine.

Just a point on filter start products, they sit on dealers shelves for X amount of time(years) and then some one comes along buys it and put's it in a tank.
If there is anything of any use left in there it'll do nothing to hardly anything for a tank let alone a pond.

EA have just brought out pond pure which is balls of 8mil bacteria in a ball, it's only been out a couple of weeks and does have an expiry date on it but again I still can't see how it would work, what are they feeding on in this ball?, I am willing to be proven wrong on this.

Then stop going to hack shops if they carry prodcts that don't have an expiraiton date or rotate stock.

I was only pointing out the potential pitfalls of using these products.

Generally speaking they do nothing.

Well a few days ago I got the liner in and smoothed it out some, and started the filling process...which took awhile lol. Heres some pics of that:

And today I started trimming excess liner, and rocking in the one side of the pond. Its just a rough out right now, but its looking pretty decent! Also got the Sunterra3000G pump in today, Id HIGHLY reccomend them to anyone looking to do a pond. I got quoted $459 for another setup similar to this, and this one was $165 shipped to my door. Heres some pics from today:
