They are pigs. Lol mine love algae wafers, zucchini, and lemons. There is a lot you can offer them:) be careful with decor though. I had to take all mine out because when they are skiddish they bump into things and hurt themselves.

Thank you everyone now the next step is getting him to eat floating pellets. The breeder fed him frozen shrimp and koi flakes. So he doesn’t know how to come to the top to eat. Seems comfortable with me but any tips on how to get him to eat floating pellets. I also want him to teach the oacubto do the same

Awe, so little and cute! It’s so hard not to buy a ton of those guys when they are little isn’t it? Lol
Here is a picture of me mine when I got it October 1st at about 3 1/2inches

Keep up with water changes and it will grow fast!
I’m a bit worried how much more size these guys will put on before April/May. My babies out in the pond are going to look small next to these guys even though they are the same age. One of the advantages of being kept in a heated tank all winter. Lol
