Not sure why anyone would complain about these. If they are captive raised, great price. If they are Wild Caught, fantastic price. Either way you are in a win win situation. There is a guy selling captive raised ones on aquabid for $500.

It would be a different story if he was charging $600 for WC and you found out they were Captive raised.

My goodness, lots of people are willing to break the law for a fish. You know export bans exist for a reason, right? Are you so determined to own this fish that you don't care about the species' continued survival? And, if so, can't you see how everyone sharing that opinion leads to serious environmental consequences?

I can tell you, the whole "illegal or not, who cares, just buy it" mindset is not shared by your local. state or federal law enforcement, and the internet is a very public forum.

Just to let you know, you just mouthed off to a staff member of MAN. J double R is a mod at AC, and bad mouthing any staff on the MAN will not be tolerated.

No more derails of any kind, by anyone. The question has been put forth. Show proof of them being wild caught. Due to their size, if they are wild caught, this thread is toast, as they are illlegal imports, and MFK does not support illegal sales. If they are F1 or F20, then please state it. At that size they cannot be wild caught, and legal.

Can they still be legally imported from Peru, Bolivia, or any country that is bordered with Brazil? Who knows if Zebra migrates due to habitat destruction. BTW, I'm interested in them, so I just make sure I know what I'm getting

They still would need papers to prove it. If they were migrating, they would be more readily available. As stated, no derails of any kind, from anyone. Infractions will be handed out without hesitation.

not sure on that.....

you guys may be surprised how many fish make their way to the states that are prohibited for export by country of origin..... clownloach, datnoids, peacock bass, jardini arowanas, and black arows just to name a few..... not saying its ok..... just saying its common......
