L095?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What are the dimensions of the 150gal? Is it the 4x2x2.5?

I think the 95 would be ok in there with the right layout. Unless mine is a complete aberration to the rest of the population, they have very good body control , dont seem to dart around like most of my other plecos(my panaques and L14 especially are like A->B and they dont care whats in between... hahah) and can navigate woodwork very well. Mine likes to poke around in the wood.

Yes, 4x2x2.5.

I just moved everything around to create more open space for my L27 and L253.

Large piece of wood on one side. Smaller pieces along the middle in back and a large rock like on the left. Despite the small plecos liking it, I may removes the majority of the rocks and just go with another piece of wood.

I'll try to add a picture later today.

I'm not too worried about it bulldozing as it does seem like a gentle giant. Just didn't know if a tank my size would be cruel for a pleco that size.

The store owner made a point that it's only in a 60 gallon now but I pointed out that it's hopefully very temporary and not necessarily ok...

Even when I had to transfer him from his 135 to the 180 he didn't bulldoze. haha. He just barked at me when I took him out of the water.

Mine likes cleaning the rounded rocks in the tank as well, but they stay pretty clean between him, my rhino, and flagtail.

Here is my tank. Him and the rhino fight(nudge each other) for the underside of the sideways log.

Thats a great looking tank! I've been having trouble getting mine to look right after my severums ate all of my remaining plants. I pulled most of my rock and added some wood but might need to get a couple large rocks like yours. I do have a bit less room to play with tough.

Back in town this past week and while I thought I had beaten it, it appears some of my fish are showing signs of columnaris. Just finished a cycle of Maracyn 2 and will add a very small dose of salt. Things are looking a bit better but not quite right yet.

Called the store that had the L095 I was going to take and asked him to hold it until I get things sorted out, thankfully he agreed. Stopped at the shop that had the sold L095 and the L453 today just to look and the guy who was taking the l095 took the L453 instead. So, now that I know of two available, I'm considering taking the second once my tank is back in proper health. Am I crazy to put both in a 150 gallon? one is about 11" the other is 14". Do they fight or generally peaceful towards their own kind?
As they're just so fascinating and rarely available in store, very seriously thinking of adding them both.

As far as addictions go, it could be worse I guess...
