Most L096 is not very attractive, but some speicimen will grow into beautiful yellow/gold body and orange/red fins. My L096 for example, haha, it took 6 months from grey dull to the one in photo.

Lovely, also its nice to meet another person who loves l96 plecos :).

NICE! I think it just get used to the tank and stop trying to hide all the time so the color changed . The lighting in the tank is also on point that it not also doesn't scared the fish but seem to help in the color conditioning.

I just ordered an L096, which should arrive tomorrow.
In the pictures I saw, which weren't great, it did appear to be the more orange and less spotted type than the ones that just look like L160 with orange front on the dorsal and tail.

If possible, I'd love to get mine looking like yours as it grows.
Did you feed it anything particular to get the color like that or just typical Pseuda diet?

Do you know what the collection point is on the above specimen if wild. Or is it captive bred? What is itz size?

I have a 2 (5" and 6") wild specimens collected from Rio do Para which have nice red/orange on dorsal and along top and bottom of caudal. Also they appear lighter, almost appear to have a cream colored body.
