So I was moving some fish around and found my L184 guarding some eggs kind of deep in a piece of drift wood. If I want to try to remove the eggs for best chance of survival anyone have any tips on how to go about this?

You could remove the eggs and put them in an egg tumbler. I would just leave them with the male. He will guard the eggs until they hatch. Then remove the fry when they are free swimming.

A turkey baster works great. But I would use a breed box to keep the eggs in.

Don't touch the eggs!!!!!!
The male needs to fan them to hatch or the eggs will die.
I got this info from my friend who breeds L-184

thanks for the info. I am going to move them when they are wrigglers. I will have to pick up a tumbler for the future.
What do you normally feed the fry once they have absorbed the yolk sac
