The fruit of research and waiting. See the other thread before http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185411&page=2

On 19 DEC 08, the three plecos finally arrived with aros from Singapore

L24 and 25 were the size of my small finger while L600 was fairly big 6+"

Unfortunately, L114 deal in Thailand was cancelled ... so still looking for this one.

Even worse, L24 died the next day. The transit must have been harder on him. that was a rather expensive loss ....

L600 is eating like a pig (only seen him eat prawns ... lots of prawns) and sucks on everything in the tank. He went totally nuts when i took the heater out of the sump into the main tank ... i was so afraid it would burn himself or something while sucking slime and algae of the heater rod ^^

L25 is not moving nor eating (at least i have never seen him eat).

PS: the L600 and L25 are in separate aquariums

Very nice! I too picked up An L-600 a couple days ago. He's 11"! congrats on the purchase and sorry to hear about the L-024. good luck with them.

Bad luck with losing the L24, is that the 25 in the second pic? He looks very beat up indeed, its unusual to have pseudacanthicus not eat, they usually acclimatise well, they must have had a real rough time. Hope they make it, the 600 is a real stunner by the way.

I would have to agree with that. My L-114 aclimated quite fast. My L-600 I just got was eating Hikari catfish wafers, algae wafers, zuchinni, and shrimp pellets within 36 hrs of putting him in the tank. I was really shocked at how much he ate.

Thanx. Gonna be waiting for pix of your L600. I am quite pleased with mine. Believe i am really sorry for L24... even when it was close to death it was quite nice looking.

I too was very surprised that pleco perished ... i always thought of them as fairly tough creatures. L600 was eating shrimp the next day. I am not sure if L25 is eating or not =(

L25 is in the first pix. Second pix is L24 (the dead one).

L600 is like yours ... 25 refuses to move or eat. L600 moves around the tank when he senses food

Man those Plecos are awesome.

Thanxxx - can't wait until 25 is up and about

Make sure you try feeding the L-025 with the light out and meaty foods will probably be the first thing it would go for before veggies. My L-114 and L-600 are VERY nocturnal. Have the light off for a while before you drop food in. We just got a new camera so when we get pics downloaded I will post pics of the L-600 . I would keep them all in seperate tanks atleast until you have seen them eating. This species can be really teritorial and could stress eachother out. Good luck!

Try feeding your L-25 Ocean Nutrition Formula One or the Shrimp plus flakes. That is all my L-25 will eat and I had him for 6 weeks now. I got him on aquabid. He was eating these flakes the secound day. Will not eat anything else but there is a lot of good stuff in Ocean Nutrition's flake food. Try smearing some fresh garlic on Zucchinni packed with shrimp pellets for your L-25. Good luck you will love this pleco!

very nice plecs!!!
