L600

Well, I sold my L014 and replaced it with a L600.
As far as I've heard they were considered the same as the L114 untill recent years but have a darker body color in comparison, the L114 are smaller and more slender than the L600 that get more stockier and elongated in comparison as well as the fin colors are supposed to be more brighter on the L600. I also heard the L600 don't hide as much in comparison.
My bud at the LFS grabbed the one that I bought and kept him separate from the other 15 because he never seen the fins as bright on any as they were on this one, he actually didn't want to sell it;)
Not a bad looking pleco. I have pics but don't have the camera available right now so expect a new pic thread coming soon.

Which pleco is more sought after, the L114 or the L600?(I can get both)
Can I keep multiples of them?
Anyone else currently own one?
Any pics?
 
L600 is more valuable than the L114 all the way. I heard that they keep the red as they grow, get bigger, and have a more darker body. Carnivore, since they are so closely related to L114 I THINK they have to be kept single from all other bottom dwellers. You sure its a L600 and not just a L114, just don't want you getting hustle.
 
Well as you probably know I got it from Fantastic Fins and I hope they know what they got;) I was in there for about an hour and a half trying to decide on this guy, a blue phantom or a green phantom. So I started talking to Chris and he was telling me about them.
I mean it's their specialty;)
He was $65 @ 3"

Dam $65 @3", but they have red fins and are pretty rare so good job. Between L600, green phantom, and blue phantom I would have gone L600 too. Nice pick- up.
 
how come most of the bottom dwellers you guys talk about start with "L" followed by numbers? sorry for hi jacking thread i was just curious

He was actually supposed to be $75, but he didn't have the price on the tank that mine was in and the other tank with the rest of his L600s that he was shipped with was on the other side of the store. He quoted me $65 and I told him the others were $75 and he said "whelp I guess you get a discount today". YaY me:D
