Yes I spoke to him on the phone. Had to call from a blocked#.

I had a vet friend of mine come look at my Uaru.

Both are showing regressing signs of HITH/Lateral Line Erosion as well as bacterial mouth infections, the female is substaintially more severe with her mouth infection than the male. But the vet told me that neither of them are going to be able to eat soon if it's not treated.

L told me he's had these fish for 8 months, these infections don't happen overnight, and I was told both are healthy, eating ect.

Food for thought.

Here's a picture of the female, that white spot on her chin is actually a hole going straight through, with notable deformation of the jawline from swelling:

The male isn't so bad, but it showing signs of the same problem in the same spot - with a small hole starting on the inside of his jaw.

Way too much drama E! From my stand point, it's not L Aquatic fault. Payara is sensative fish. Sedate or not, 5 hours trip is a long trip for them. You already knew that trip duration, and still go with the transaction. You should absorb the risk. Once you received the fish, and he's alive, L Aquatic is done on his part. You know that he had a long trip to go home, and you've been bombarding with posts and phone calls. That's not cool to me Hostility won't get you anywhere, and make a name for yourself . Chalk it up as an experience. Just my thought

I got pics before buying, didn't bother looking at the fish in their bags when I picked them up, though.

The pics didn't show any of this, though.

Either way, I just want compensation for the medications I'm going to have to buy - this is all treatable stuff.

Even if you look at the fish in their bags, you won't able to see every detail of it. I hope your fish will heal back to normal bro.

I'm not too worried about it dude, my friend's been an exotic pets vet for 15+ years now and tells me it's nothing major but will leave permanent scarring.

I just want to make sure they survive it.

Posting this was more intended to warn people of L's character. There's no way anyone with even a lick of experience in this hobby would think these fish are even close to healthy, and to say they've had them for 8 months in good health...

It's a shame. But people should know.
