I think this should have been handled in better judgment. You knew L Aquatics had a long drive back up North. You should have given him time since he did picked up a boat load of fish while he was down here.. So I think he had other things to worry about at the moment. I've never met L aquatics so there is no need for me to defend him, but just saying that stuff like this should have been handled differently instead of immediately posting it and having people post stuff that they shouldn't be posting and possibly burning bridges you/they might want to cross later (not particularly with L aquatics, but other members on this board).

What ever happened to this being a community where we learn, and share knowledge that we all enjoy. Lately there has been drama all over the forum, and its just sad to read about people bashing/flaming this or that person for no reason. Just my two cents.
Well said Will :)

Some of the stuff I posted down the line was out of hand, and I apologized for it.

As far as what I've posted in lines of Ly himself, I don't think any of it's been bad.

He told me the fish were healthy and they're obviously not, but he's also willing to work with me on it, and in the long run these fish are probably better off in my care. Where they're going to get the attention I can give, whereas Ly has multiple fish he needs to care for - these are the only two fish I have at the moment.

As far as I'm concerned, for the moment, it's a dead issue - and people reading through this are learning things they SHOULD know. People should have to stand behind their products and service - and I'm trying my best to give a neutral opinion on the whole thing and just stick to the facts.

Ly and I came to an agreement that we can both live with. As far as I'm concerned I'm satisfied with his services.

Good to hear bro:D

I cannot believe what I'm reading.

I transported a hydrolycus species over 5 hours (as well as transferring it twice during transport) earlier this year, and didn't even think about sedatives or "bag buddies," whatever the hell those are. There is NO reason to sedate these fish or even think about it. Anyone with experience with these fish would know that, and I'm hardly a fish keeping expert, let alone a payara expert.

The fact that this isn't alarming to some people here is just amazing.

West1, you're in the wrong because you bought a sedated payara. These fish do not tolerate medications at all, and you knew that. It's well documented in the "Other Monster Fish" section here. I'd have walked away with a polite "no thank you." You also should have waited longer before adding fish to a freshly established tank. Big no-no with sensitive fish. All of the California members flip expensive fish every other week anyways, so arguing with them about acclimation processes is moot, as they probably do know better than you. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but it's the truth.

L Aquatics should not be calling his customers a "dick" on public forums. There are only so many of your California lackies, and I'm sure a lot of other members just scratched you off as a "vendor," myself included. Thanks for handling this so badly; I'm glad I didn't have to go through this, and I can't be the only one thinking that. Do you have any clue how pissed off I would be if I bought a fish from someone and then less than 24 hours later it was dead, and they wouldn't at least answer the phone? I wouldn't expect my money back, but I would expect some answers, stat. No one makes it in this world without having integrity, and getting all uppity at West1 because he was/is upset isn't an excuse.

Totally agree. Hands down, you said it. Prob with that is... I did not know he was sedated. After I got home I noticed he was acting realy weird... thats where the story begin... He told me when I called that it was sedated and told me what to do, so I did but he did not make it.
L should be able to agree to that much
