Got a GoPro as a WAY early christmas present (thank you to my wonderful loving wife!) So have a video! He's definitely got azul in him, but doesn't look pure, so my guess is kelzul, but only time will tell.

Just under 2 month update. Feeding a mix of smelt, tilapia, and just recently got him on massivore. Starting to get some spangling around the center line. Still has marks on the gill plate. Huge underbite. Anal, pectoral, pelvic and bottom of caudal fins all getting a nice pink color to them.

Was able to sex him, definitely a male, when I moved him to the 55 after the unfortunate event. Extra precautions have since been taken, including understocking the tank.
He was looking too good today not to take a picture and share. Already starting to see signs of a nuchal hump too.
Anybody care to venture a guess on the hybridization? I'm thinking Kelberi x something
