Labled as FX 6 KIller

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not withstanding other issues. I found 7 cases of leaking sunsun 7 series in 12 mins from 2 sellers. Date of purchase and what item purchased are all time stamp

I have benefit of understanding chinese and buying directly from china.... the chinese are never shy to leave reviews...

Sometimes you don't need to use to know... that's the power of internet

Yes indeed, but it's too bad in reality probably less than 20 mainland Chinese people have Fluval FX6's or you would surely find some bad reviews/problems with them as well. I never said that Sunsuns are better, in fact I clearly indicated FX's were. My main point, which still stands, is that newer Sunsun are considerably better than older ones, something you yourself alluded to. As such maybe the HW-5000 should be given a fairer consideration instead of immediately being shot down in flames.

But as long as we don't mind going back a few years, here also is the power of the internet:

Also here's a link to 45 critical reviews of the FX6 -- and that's just on one seller's Amazon site, which I found in 30 seconds:

And I have sun sun submersible pump, uv filter and wavemaker......

I will stay off the canister filter though....

I do have an old (hydor knockoff) powerhead that's been trucking along for a very long time 10yrs maybe...knock on wood.

Do we really need to go into a rant?

I have 2 under 2 yrs old I inherited with a purchase. 1 leaks and the other has half the gph it should (it was niw) I couldn't even use them on quarantine tanks. My past 2 flooded my basement at the 3-4 yr mark. Maybe I have bad luck idk. If these leaks hadnt of been in my basement it would of damaged my flooring which would of been 1k+ to fix. I've tried the cheap odysea fx knockoffs which ended in a valve leaking which I then replaced with quality valves only to have the lid crack.

If you can get 5+yrs out of it bravo but this hasn't been my experience with cheap knockoffs.

No rant dude (certainly no worse than your first post), it's called discussion -- some can handle it, some can't. But thanks for the further info, we can all learn from that.

Wow 30s... obviously you never go through the reviews...

Ending this now...

Cheers

I know two guys on another forum that both had leaks with there sun suns. From what i remember they both replaced it with eheim's

Well as i stated earlier in the thread ive got 2 sunsuns. One older modell at 2000l/h and one new modell at 1400L. I first bought 2 2000L filters. Think the name was hw-304 or something like that. One started to leak after a year. The second one is still running 3 years later. The smaller one ive got i got when i bought a tank from a friend. Im quite happy with it except the priming of it. The pushbutton dont work the way i want so i always suck at the output to prime it. Not a big of a deal for me since ive got 2 eheim 2262 without an valve on the intake hose so i always suck on the output on them

so what... there are 45 critical reviews found on fluval in 30s..... including at least 1 bad review for missing tubing......

on a serious note, what the difference in pricing between a sunsun, jebao, ehiem and fluval on your end

for u, ehiem and fluval are similarly priced but 3 x more expensive than jebao and 4 times more expensive then sunsun

A brand new fx6 is 2600sek and a brand new 2260 is around 3700sek. As far as i know there aint any stores that sell sunsuns here. I bought mine including the on my friend bought from an german website. All jebaoproducts im ordering from china on ebay so they are quite cheap.
