well i bought both of my malas at a lfs by me around 6-7in for 19.99 ea

I understand that some malas that are captive bread may only cost $20, but wild caught fish are always more expensive. You have a bunch of added cost from shipping, etc. Some malas (depending on varient) can cost almost as much as a more common lacerdae varient. So, I guess depending on the collection point, the mala could be worth a little more than ur average run of the mill captive bread mala. Plus you threw in the 55 gallon tank for $100. I'd say it wasn't the greatest deal on earth, but it's not the worst deal ever either.

yes i understand some malas can be more but i am making a point that it is 100% mala and 99% of the time a lacerdae cost more usually atleast double

Actually they're more in the range of $500-$1000 for a 5-8" fish when they're available. Slanted and Braveheartcalif are the only two (if my memory serves correctly) that have had a lacerdae for sale in the last year or two.

the pictures show features of common malabaricus, with a special expression of colors.

lacerade for $100 bucks? haha If he can't tell the difference what is the point in buying a $600 fish over a $20 fish? should of had an id and checked it over before the purchase.

if it weren't for you clarifying what that meant with an AKA I would have had no idea. Thanks, you have been a big help on this thread.

wait so Thefishguy needs his mommy to drive him around lol jks

I've met his mom, she's a lovely lady and she has a heart of gold. It takes a lot of work to strap a 14 year old boy into a booster seat when he won't let go of the bag o' fish to put his arms thru the restraints.

Nice wolf fish Rob... or was it Clark? Who bought the fish for crying out loud! :nilly:

If Thefishguy sais its Lacerdae its Lacerdae. That kid knows his things about fish.
