Lady Gaga symbolizes what is wrong with music today. Its all a big show with absolutely no talent involved.

Ah, so it's okay when Lady Gaga earns money from entertainment rather than talent, but not when Justin Bieber does the same thing? I know it's a matter of opinion, and personally, I don't like either of them, but that's a bit of a double standard.

Yes she is getting attention, but I think she is getting the wrong kind of attention and earning herself a reputation as an insane idiot. Sure, it gains her popularity, but it also makes her more widely hated.

I don't think I will ever understand why people say crap like that. Justin Bieber is a bad singer, so you want him dead? I can't sing either, so should I be killed to?

There wasnt a single talented person represented at the VMAs. Thats why I didnt watch them, or care about who won what. Sure Gaga isnt anymore talented than anyone else there but shes different and thats a step in the right direction as far as Im concerned. Mainstream music is so far beyond saving at this point I dont care if actual talented artists are rewarded on this scale. But if one of these talentless hacks is a freaking character rather than another disney clone I'm at least a little pleased.

Even if you think her music is crap or if she isn't talented she's making a lot of cash. All I am saying is she's smart, and it's obviously working. If i could wear a meat suit and accomplish what she has, I would be laughing at people who hated me.

exactly. music has been ruined by auto tuners, lady gaga, keith urban and rascall flatts. the whole music industry is trying to turn into some sort of pop culture machine. there are very few individuals left.

I think it's pretty sad how people are so obsessed with fame and wealth that they are willing to humiliate themselves in front of millions of people to obtain it (or in Lady Gaga's case, humiliate themselves and not even acknowledge that they look stupid, which just makes them look even more stupid). I don't consider that intelligence, I consider it pathetic desperation.
