Laguna Max Flo pumps

Woo Hoo!! Gotta love the search function. Im getting ready to order my Pump and was searching everywhere for specs at specific head heights for flow on the Laguna pumps. Thanks for posting this stuff up. It was a big help.

Hope you dont mind me asking in your thread. If its an issue id be glad to start my own thread on this subject. Here is my questions.

SOoooo Here is the question for you guys. When looking to get around that 10x cycle (where ive always run my tanks). For 125 gallon tanks. Would you go with the 2000 or smaller? Im figuring with all the plumbing and measuring it out it should be somehwere around 5ft head height maybe give or take some.

The 2000 would work, how is your tank setup to drain the tank? Ie overflow box and what size are your drains?

Hey Chizzle Thanks for the reply. Im going to be using a silcone in place over flow box to make it look nice and set the in tank height, then inside the overflow box im going to taylor the flow with a Bean animal drain system. According to all the calculators for flow at the estimated head of roughly 5ft I will need a 1.6 inch drain. With the bean would I just use a 1.5" or go to 1.75"? Im doing this on both my 125's. My other tanks are acrylic and are already set up for the 250 and the 350g tanks im going to be using.
