well, the tanks been up and running for while and i test it every once in a while and its usually 8.4+

I actually just bought 2 and I have them with lots of sand, shells, caves and plants and they are doing fantastic =] love them. Keep it a species only tank. You'll love them!! The way they eat is kinda funny to, they suck up food like a vaccum then nibble at it and turn it in their mouth. I find them very entertaining =]

im really excited, once i find someone who's selling them, im gonna snap some up

i want to do a species tank, im just worried about the 6" of space at the top of the tank where there will never be anything going on. maybe ill get a few feeder guppies and let them breed in there for live food for the occellatus

im getting pumped :)
