so if you were to go full 4'x8'x 18" would you use 1/2" or thicker?

you inspired me to give acrylic a go rather than plywood, very nice build by the way

Yes, id still go with 1/2"... although you could get awya with 3/8".... but then again, it will bow alot at the thinner thickness.

I did alot of research for this tank, and looked at other acrylic tanks befor i built mine, alot of the details were planned out, or made up on the spot..
