the total cost has gone up a bit more with the addition of more media and more equipment.... total now is around 2500
Are going to atempt to build a 500 plus gallon acrylic tank in the near future?
Once you have the filtering system up and running for the 300 gallon would it be possible to use most of the same filters for the 500 gallon tank?

I think i will be sticking with the short heigth so i can continue to use 12mm cell cast acrylic. If i go any taller, i'll have to use something thicker, and the price after 12mm goes way up.
It would be possible for me to use all the same media for the new tank, but i will need a larger sump.
Your fish tank project is amazing would you ever sell the smaller one to put the bigger one in it's place.
Are you going to add more fish to your bigger tank or move the same fish from the 289 to the 450?
