Large Fish With Personality?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
RTGG has alot of personality but my CK by far has the most.he always follows you, sets and watches what your doing and when time to to eat it swims up and down fast then when the lid opens he just gets so excited he starts vibrating till the food hits the water.

My mangrove jack recognises me, hes always checking out what im doing and begging for food. Has heaps of personality and comes straight out of his log to greet me when i get home from work. Hates my girlfriend though haha.

Any one know if Midas Cidhlid, Red Tail Catfish, Silver Arowana, Fire Eel, Red Eared Slider, Congo Bichir can all be kept together in an EXTREMELY large tank?

Sure, but you may be surprised by the definition of extremely large. 15" for the Midas and a few feet each for the arro and rtc.

My Jd has the most personality of all my cichlids, but if you really want a large wet-pet, an Oscar would be hard to beat for size and personality.

I see someone already mentioned Midas cichlids. But my managuense have great personality and they stay at the front of the glass when I am in the room. Also several of the Vieja species can be very personal.

Large MBU puffers. They have huge eyes that can look at you with both facing forward. They have an equizative look about them. There eyes can rotate any direction. When they look at you you can tell there interested in what your doing.

X2

I think of mine as a dog in the water. The faces it makes are so funny. When they don't like something you can tell. When trying new foods they spit it out and make a face like wtf was that. it reminds me of a baby being fed string beans for the first time. They are amazing fish.

I wouldn't personally recommend an MBU to any body, unless they had or are in the process of building a 800G - 1000G tank for it...

On the other hand, a fahaka is just as great a water puppy, and doesn't need nearly as large a tank... mine even waits by the door for me to get home after work...

Definitely most interactive fish i've ever kept...
