It takes about the same amount of people to safely move my 180g as it does my 450g.

The 180 is glass, the 450 acrylic.

Glass is not immune from scratches, and with acrylic the scratches can be buffed out.

i can honestly say ive never seen a scratched glass tank. in all honesty 1 person can move a 220 if the person uses a dolly.

How big are you guys? I can see 2 people moving a 125 gallon glass around but your 220 only took 2 to carry and 1 spotter? And only 3 to move an acrylic 300gallon. I wish you lived closer because I have a car blocking my driveway:grinno:

Im not that big at all. I'm 18, about 6'1", maybe 160-170lbs. Not big at all. My friend Mike is about the same size, maybe a little shorter and we moved the 220 along with his dad who is a big guy. We kinda took turns carrying it.

The 300 sucked but like somebody else said its all about preparation and clearing room to move it. We actually had like 5 people but with how narrow the doorways and basement were there was never more than 3 people touching the tank at one time.
