k I have caught a 3" Lg mouth bass today and I am acclimating it right now... I can post pics in a hour or so although I want to know is this a bad idea for a 150 gallon??? dimensions are 72" x 18" x 30" ..... it will be in there alone... can it work?????? is there room for more fish in the long run???

Shoulda stuck with the original plan lol....The LMB will be way too big in about a year to a year and a half. LMB get BIG. Worst part is now even though u cannot keep him for life you can't return him to the lake where he came. Oh well I would keep him still. I have a LMB and he is great. Maybe when he outgrows it you will love him so much you will get him a bigger tank! I built mine a pond! Good luck

ya chad that is my actual intention..... I move out of this apartment in August and will be moving into a new home where I will be making a pond for sure..... and the good thing about a native fish is he can just go outside when he'd too big.... don't worry I thought that through before brining it home lol I went looking for perch and pumpkinseed and of course I was only hitting bass lol some nice 3 or 4 pounders tooo, I couldn't believe my eyes. Usually when I go bass fishing all I get is perch lol...... anyways I finaly got a nice small one which I figured I could acclimate easier then a larger one. Took him home and here it is.

I have some pics it may not even be a Lrg mouth lol

Nice Bass, it should be fine in the 150 until the summer.

Looks like mine! Mine is just a bit bigger though. Hope he eats prepared food for you.
