I have heard of fire eels that are introduced at a young age and small size not attacking smaller fish that they grew up with, but I'm not sure if it's a for sure thing or if it's the kind of fish that would interest you.
Chalceus are highly predatory, I think it will start eating its mates as soon as it can fit them in its mouth
We are talking about Chalceus macrolepidotus? Every source I have read says they will hunt down any smaller fishes. Of course if I went by the powers that be I wouldn't have kept ID sharks with my tetras either.
Did you start out with all the fish at once, more or less, or did you add the Pink tailed Chalceus last as very small fishes?
The fish in the picture is from pinterest, I have several fish and aquarium boards there.
