At least he died in a nice sized tank with lots of room as opposed to a small cube in a lfs.
Nahh, it was a male. Genes do have alot to do with humps, but another factor is mood. Stick a fishes face in the mud his whole life and treat him like crap, his hump isn't going to be much. Spoil him with clean water, room, good food, and maybe a piece of a#$ and it'll come out.
