Didnt know you owned a dd...that pretty cool so you like it ? What are you using for filtration....i know nothing about sumps or wet/dry sucks i would just throw a couple of 2262's on it and be done

Oh personally I do not like glasscages because of the glasstanks they make must use euro bracings.. if they don't use it I would love to buy again.. if you don't mind that then that's the way to go.. price is just right..I have a post on diy for my setup.. "300 gal with a 125 sump".

I thought you had the marinland 300 dd.

I was looking at gc last night cant beat the prices man

As far as glass thickness what should i be aiming for on a tank this size 3/4?

I have a glass cages tank that I like a lot. Bought it used at 2 years old.

Its a custom size 7'x3'x26" 340. 1/2" glass all the way around. The euro bracing is a little obnoxious but if you use substrate you could just bury it. The other complaint is they could be a little cleaner with their silicone work.

Have a 145g sump with two ESHOPPS 1600 overflow boxes and a Mag 24 pump. Plus 2 FX5 for mechanical.
If Had to do it again I would drill it. And if buying new have it drilled.

soupa2 soupa2 have you thought about using all 4 holes in the overflows as drains? You can move a tremendous volume of water through your sump should you go that route.
