Largemoth bass question

LMB will leave other species of fish alone if they can't eat em IME

Interesting. My bass is extremely territorial and does not take crap from other fish; no matter their size. He's taken several shots at my 4' eel, which he obviously can't eat. He also picks on a bluegill that he can't fit in his mouth. Not sure how our experiences are that different.

Just like any other fish, each have their own personalities

so is a smallmouth a better option?

Even with a smaller mouth they are still predators. Smb also prefers cooler water 60s ime

would it be better since it could not eat as large of fish in my tank since i also have 2 (3in) creek chubs? he would be the smallest fish in my tank, the next one in being small is my 3inch warmouth

I think it would be ok for awhile as long as you keep it well fed, but I think ultimately the chubs will become a meal

i hope it will be well ged if i feed my fish 4 bloodworm cubes every day + almost everyday some earthworms. I will get a smb at 3 inches. would 2 creek chubs do ok in a 20? they are growing fast... my 3in (now just under 4in) ate a 3in earthworm last week.

You should try to get it on pellets as soon as you can to maximize nutrition
