Large mouth will eat just about anything even if its to large for them. I care for a good number of bass ranging from 2lb to my largest who is roughly 15lbs, its not uncommon for mine to try to eat a larger tank mate and have to spit it back out after a while because they cannot get it all. My big large mouth has eaten two northern pike the same length as it, had the tail hanging out of its mouth for a couple days but got them down. Small mouth are not as much of a problem but they will eat anything that fits in there mouth.
