okay so i know these fish are completely different and i know they need a completely different temperature but i see people keeping them together. is there a happy medium or are both fish going to be unhappy? also does anyone have a care sheet for largemouth bass in the aquarium?

I had a largemouth bass in my tank years ago(55 gallon) he was maybe two inches when i first put him in. I never used my heater just kept the tank ambient, i would feed him flakes and pellets when he was small and as he got bigger i went with earthworms. Needless to say he got big fast, i finally released him when he could hardly turn around in the tank ( almost 17 inches).....

Maybe mid 70s or somewhere around there. I know pbass like 80+ plus though. I have my 6" pbass in a85 degree tank right now, when he goes to his next home that tank will be 80. Maybe someone with lmb expirence will chime in here to help find ahappy medium for both fish. Lmb can also be very aggressive too.

my peacock bass are kept at 82 currently but i know that's way to high for a LMB. ill probably just do a cold water tank also but i would like to keep both in the same tank as i already have 8 tanks on the go now and the girlfriend isn't happy lol

Down here is FL was have LMB and Pbass living in the same waters. Caught them both back to back.

there are two different strains of large mouth bass a northern and a southern (this is according to my fishing proclamation for utah) here in northern utah we have the northern strain so i would assume that in canada you do as well they separate the difference between the two strains as to what temperature they spawn at northerns at 55 degrees and southerns at 75 northerns also dont get as big i cant say if this is 100% true but its what the book says

ill have to look into it and if so getting some Southern LMB, it will be hard to convince them at the border they are ornamental tho lol
