Largemouth and peacock bass mix

I kept a Florida strain LMB at 82+ w/ pbass, just make sure the LMB is smaller as they can be butt heads and teritorial. The higher temp just shortens their life span a little, but this happens in nature also, thats why they say northern LMB live longer.

makes since. if i can find some here in Canada that are from Florida i will be getting them or maybe i can get a friend to pick a couple up for me as he is driving to Florida on Monday.

Ive read that the warmer the temperature of your water the more aeration you need. I had a couple baby peacocks in a tank with no heater for a few months and they seemed to be doing alright

Me and my brother netted some LMB just yesterday and they are being housed with a peacock. Temps of the native water was pretty warm where they were netted

You can keep a northern largemouth in a tank at high temps with no issues. They are pretty hardy fish compared to some tropical fish. last summer some lakes near my house reached 82-84 degrees in Minnesota. Your largemouth will be fine as long as it has plenty of oxygen.
