i have been thinking about building a monster tank for sometime now. i have 4 goldfish, 6 angelfish and 2 tilapias that everyone keeps asking, if they are fat enough ?

anyway, if i plan to build a large tank for tilapia i need to control the spawning of the tilapia so i'd thought i'll add some largemouth bass.
my plan is to build the tank and get algea started, add my 2 tilapias, build a algea filter system to grow algae to feed it to the tilapia and reduce water changes and then add more tilapia. i will have to find someway to get LMB shipped here.

what do you think ?

LMB? What does that stand for?...

Oh, dur, loong day. lol.

...By "control the spawn of tilapia", do mean have most of the fry get eaten? If so, why are you considering purchasing more tilapia?

LMB and tilapia are have two different water requirments, im not so sure the lmb will fair in constant hot temp, they might grow extremly fast, or on the other and the tilapia wont do so well in the lmb's range either. Maybe you should go for some pbass instead? Theyre prettier too.

thats not true, they thrive in warm water, thats why florida largemouth are so much bigger than northern largemouth (generally speaking, that is)

just make the tilapia are large enough not to become snacks ;)

get largemouth you wont regret it.

I have co-habbitated them fine. Same water requirements.

well thats kinda what i was saying, lmb can get really big in constant fairly warm water. Eventually the bass could get too big to be with the tilapia...plus it depends on the type of tilapia he has too. Another thing is the import of the lmb to kuwait. There could be regulations of some sort.

Why does the LMB need to go to kuwait?
