largemouth bass and tilapia ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yes i can sell them but at what price ? in the stores, they are sold at about 3$ a kilo 2.2lbs and when i got mine at the farm they cost about 6$ a kilo.

why ? they taste great.

I meant as a aquarium fish. But I guess since your on another side of the world, it may not work the same for you there as it would for me here.

as aquarium fish ? i don't think it will sell unless i sell them worldwide, most of my friends look for more aggressive, exotic, colorful fish. none of them are interested in tilapia unless it's on a plate full of rice.

i'm sure i'll get more money selling LMB as aquarium fish.
maybe i should build two tanks one for tilapia and one for LMB so i can have more control.

there are alot of things i can do with the tilapia fry, i can grow them, freeze them, turn them into fish feed.

what does LMB taste like ?

Nah not worth to get LMB IMO. LMB often do not get along with their own species if kept in aquariums. Why you want LMB for what real reason?

Ive seen extremely large tanks where lmb and other n. american fish living in harmony...but if you cram them in anything smaller than say...400 gal...in a fair amount of numbers and (eventually) a fair amount of size then even then things can get hairy. Even the bass pro shops dont keep lmb in anything less than 2 or 3 thousand gallons. lmb used to living in a pond. Unless you get fry from a farm, which is hard to get just a few cause most wont sell unless youre buying at least a few hundred, but then again you need to ship them. If you get fish that are already grown up from fry you have to get someone in america to allow them to be shipped to a very far away country. IMO trying to get and keep lmb would be rather difficult and most likely above your expections in kuwait. You can't even sell them in america let alone overseas.

Do you even know which type of Oreochromis it is? cause theres like 30 different kinds and counting.

I have kept several varieties of LMB, and as long as they re the same size, they get along great.

They taste very good, BTW.
