Largemouth Bass now eats from my hand.

Fish is 7" and 40 gal tank. I was looking at a 55 but i am thinking he will eventually need 125 so I might wait for a used one.

It doesn't hurt if he bites. I caught over 200 Largemouths one weekend and lipped them all with my thumb. They have very small teeth but they are abrasive. They use them to hold onto their prey. My thumb was pretty torn up from all the action.

I was thinking of throwing one in my african 55 gal but then I wouldn't have any more cichlids.
 
A bass won't do well in temps above 74 deg F
 
I agree. Get a big tank with a bass and some decent sized sunfish.
