last time you had no tank?

I had about a 3 year break around 3 years ago, then my wife got me one of those 29g kits from walmart... she had no idea of the beast she had revived.

I got MY first tank in 1986, but we had one in the house since 1980. Ive had up to 40 at one time, now a more manageable 6 tanks set up.

wow. anyone beat 40 tanks? was they in your house or a shop?

It was my house. 24 of them were 10 gallon tanks, and none were over 90. They were almost all in my basement. Now i just keep display tanks, 20, 40, 54, 55, 120 & 220.

I've always had a tank since age 6. My Dad used to keep aquariums since before I was around. So, if I'm remembering correctly, the last time I was without an aquarium was when I was still in the womb.

I didn't beat the 40 fish tanks either as I only had 26, however I only had about 8 10 gallon tanks and went up to 190gallons

Got into the hobby about 8 years ago. I've had at least two tanks running for most of the last 8 years.

I saw a 5gal at a parents friend's house when I was 6. Mom got me a tank for Xmas,that was 42 years ago. I had 20+- by the time I was 12 nothing bigger then a 30. Been down to 1 tank a couple of times never been "tank-less" since that first one though.

never since my first tank... I can't imagine having no aquariums... It would not be so bad if anything but my 120 was taken but my 120 is by far my best tank... I have 5 tanks but will take 1 down and not setup a 30 i was going to setup to make room for a 100-150 gallon!
