if the pump has a 3/4" outlet, use 3/4" hose

From your pump run 3/4" pipe to 3/4" bulkheads.
Use 1" bulkheads for your overflows and run 1" pipe to your sump.

not saying i dont believe you but does anyone agree with this?
found a few lfs that have bulks.going tomorrow.

Plumber is spot on man! The out-flow needs to be larger than the in-flow because the pump puts the water under pressure. This means that the in-flow operates at a higher velocity than the out-flow. The out-flow is gravity powered and that ain't much. A pump can pump in well over what gravity can pump out. Thus you need a larger exit than entrance.
 
I'm going to agree with plumber and chompers.

Again...your overflows can not be to big! lol
