Great post TGM. I wondered when you were going to get some solid ID facts up. It must be great being a poly keeper over where you are.
In regards to Aqualog, when I bought my first book of theirs about 10 years ago I found a lot of people who said their books are very well know for misidentifying fish. I've never bought another and wouldn't really trust the info provided in them.

although its very difficult to find some PBB or Ansorgii here in Brazil (I don't know of any), it's good to know this kind of things about polypterus.
